now offers healthcare
professional training programs for current health care professionals
and working adults interested in a new career. Prepare for jobs in some of the fastest growing healthcare careers including Pharmacy Technician, Phlebotomy Technician, Medical Billing and Coding, EKG Technician, and others. Low-interest educational loans are available to those who qualify. |

| EXTENDED CARE CENTER FOR EXCELLENCE | |

As a result of developing and facilitating training specific to the long-term care, home health, and assisted living organizations since 1999, The Center has developed the Extended Care Center for Excellence to provide responsive, timely training for employees at all levels, and to residents and family caregivers. Courses at HCC through the Extended Care Center for Excellence are through contract with one or more long-term care organizations, and all courses may be held on site throughout Western Massachusetts. ECCLI funding is currently available to skilled nursing homes for worker training. Please contact Keith Hensley for information on ECCLI and for application assistance. |

| ONLINE CERTIFICATE COURSE IN GERONTOLOGY | |||

The number of those over 65 will more than double by 2020. As baby boomers
age, the demand for knowledgeable providers to meet their needs is
increasing. The Certificate in Gerontology enhances knowledge and skills of
healthcare professionals and all who work or plan to work with older adults,
including physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, occupational
and physical therapists, administrators, psychologists, personal care assistants,
volunteers, clergy, and adult children of aging parents. |
Accreditation: ALLEGRA Learning Solutions, LLC is an accredited provider
of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing
